After attending a concert in 2019, the Abington Summer Concerts Committee voted unanimously to bring The Reminisants to Abington. On Sunday, August 8th, from 6-8 p.m. this group will perform at the Catherine and Joseph Nisby Bandstand in the Millennium Complex located opposite the Abington Town Hall, 500 Gliniewicz Way.

Although primarily categorized as an Oldies act, the 6-member band’s repertoire features music that appeals to a variety of musical tastes. There are dozens of Rock 'n’ Roll legends that the band has performed with over the years and the band is especially good at performing songs made popular by the “Beach Boys” and similar groups.

The Abington venue has a "Snack Shack" operated by the Abington Lions Club. For your dinner their volunteers will grill up hamburgers and hotdogs along with offering cold drinks and snacks. Also on hand will be the traveling cart from CREAM. After dinner enjoy a hand-scooped cup of ice cream for dessert. All food is available at reasonable prices.

If rain is forecast, the concert will be held in the Abington Middle/High School auditorium adjacent to the Bandstand.  A shuttle van is available for those who find it difficult to walk from the further parking lots.

Those attending all concerts are reminded that per a Town of Abington By-Law, dogs are not allowed at the concerts and smoking is not permitted on the property. For further information visit the Abington Summer Concerts Facebook page.
